Ugo Foà in visita all'International School of Modena
During Grade 11 MYP (IB Middle Years Programme) all students work on a personal project which is an independent piece of research based on personal interest which prepares them for the IB Diploma extended essay. This is an opportunity for the students to demonstrate the skills learnt across the MYP programme. Tommaso Guandalini decided to focus on History and in particular 20th century wars. Instead of just reading about the wars in books, Tommaso decided to try and engage with a primary source who actually lived through the holocaust. He found Ugo Foà, holocaust survivor. Last year he interviewed him in Rome and then decided that it would be an amazing experience for all students at IS Modena to hear his story. We were very privileged to have him visit the school.
